Utica Tools 7-6 Combination Slip-Joint Pliers 1940s-1960s For Sale

Utica Drop Forge and Tool Company started in 1895 in Utica NY and was best known for it’s nippers and pliers, which they were able to make at a relatively low cost while maintaining high quality.This 7-6 Pliers was manufactured from 1940 until 1960s. In the 1960s “NY” was dropped from the stamped branding. The name change was done in anticipation of the manufacturing facility being relocated to Orangeburg, SC, so the end date is indefinite beyond “1960s.”The Pliers are in remarkably good condition for their age. Only minor chipping of the chrome plating can be found (see images). The Slip-Joint is tight and moves easily. The 3-Diamond Grip shows minimal wear.
