This is a genuine, original, authentic, and VERY HARD TO FIND $500 gold bond certificate issued with the consent of the State of New York by the Pan American Exposition Company for the iconic expo which took place in Buffalo. As you can see it has a gold seal on the front in the lower left, andis certificate number 3148.
As you can see it is signed on the front by Pan American Exposition Company Treasurer George L. Williams, AND John G. Milburn, who was President of the Expo Company. Milburn\'s home on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo was where President William McKinley was taken after being shot, and he died there a few days later. The back has the signature of George Foreman, the president of Fidelity Trust & Guaranty Company of Buffalo, who issued / backed the certificate. One $15.00 coupon is still attached to the bottom of the document.
This is in VERY nice condition, especially for being 124 years old, and is a beautiful collectible and display piece.It is thrilling to locate original documents like this pertaining to the Pan American Expo! It certainly is a finecollectible and interesting piece of Pan Am Exposition history!
