Era: Tang stamped \"JOHN PRIMBLE / BELKNAP HDW & MFG CO\" (Circa 1940s–1960s).
Handles: Stunning and highly collectible \"Christmas Tree\" / \"Red Sparkle\" celluloid scales featuring the classic inset diamond Primble shield.
Condition: Honest vintage pocket wear. The high-carbon steel blades display age-appropriate patina and sharpening scuffs, but retain great integrity. The rare celluloid covers remain vibrant and beautiful. This knife is a snapper with both blades snapping back into its folded position. Brass liner insert, and amazing condition all around. Celluiod is notorious for degrading and gassing making the scales pretty much an eyesore. This is a prime example of a mid 20th century USA made pocket knife with rarity for days. The flame looking red to gold celluloid pops and shimmers from every angle, and both blades function exactly as they should.
