You are buying a nice vintage (post World War II (WWII)/late 1940s) patriotic/military themed heavy black solid cast iron trivet (measures 8.25\" long by .75\" tall by almost 5.25\" wide) with 4-support feet (2 front/back and 2 on each side) to rest it on a flat surface. The trivet can also be displayed on a wall as it has an opening at the top to allow for a display hanger, nail or hook.This vintage patriotic/military trivet is in great condition, has no breaks or missing parts and exhibits patina consistent with its age/use (please see pictures for additional condition details).
After WWII (1945), the U.S. began producing a variety of patriotic/military themed metal ware such as this trivet. This patriotic/military themed cast iron ornate trivet features an American Eagle with wings spread perched on a heart surrounded by a wreath. The trivet is heavy (typical of cast iron ware), solid and well made.
