The headlight is a cool round shape. It has the correct Schwinn Approved generator and taillight! Whoever designed this had a great idea. When it is lit up at night, there is a small round oval on the top that lights up. It looks cool and is kind of pleasing to the eye when riding at night. That way you do know your light is working even if it is around dusk. "Period correct" items are always best on vintage bikes. Brand new stuff on an old bike always looks out of place.
PLEASE NOTE It will look nicer with a basic detailing/polishing. The headlight has obvious age/patina. It will look right at home on your vintage bicycle.
