Vintage Mappin & Webb Sheffield 24-Piece Knife Set – Butterscotch Yellow Handles
Matched vintage set of 24 table knives by the renowned English maker Mappin & Webb of Sheffield.
Includes 24 pieces total:
12 dinner/table knives (10 inch)
12 smaller luncheon/dessert knives (8.25 inch)
Each stainless steel blade is marked “Mappin & Webb – Stainless – Sheffield” with the Mappin & Webb emblem.
The knives feature simple rounded blades with distinctive butterscotch-yellow synthetic handles, giving the set a clean Art Deco /early mid-century appearance.
The two sizes form a matching service for 12.
Vintage condition with expected light surface scratches, marks and signs of use. Some variation in the handles and blade finish is visible. Please review photographs carefully for condition.
No attempt has been made to identify or test the handle material, so they are being described as vintage synthetic/plastic rather than definitively as Bakelite.
