Dramatic old Weidlich Brothers art metal trophy from the 1950's-60's awarded by the US Air Force Air Training Command to for the UPT Officer Training Award recipient.
This trophy consists of a silver metal Triumph or Victory statue trophy topper holding a laurel in his raised arm and a scroll in the other reading "ATC". It's mounted to a triangular Mid-century Modern style wood plinth fronted by a metal plaque inscribed "UPT OFFICER TRAINING AWARD" and above it is the round logo reading "AIR TRAINING COMMAND - UNITED STATES AIR FORCE". The back of the triumph statue is embossed "U.S. DES. PAT. 178045" and the inside of the base reads "WEIDLICH INC. - BRIDGEPORT, CONN." with the "WB" logo. The bottom is covered in green felt with the original trophy shop sticker from San Antonio, Texas.
It stands 13.5" tall by 5" wide by 3.5" deep, and weighs 2.25 lbs.
