The large canister features Owens-Illinois' distinctive diagonal ribbed green glass, original-style aluminum screw lid and metalCEREALidentification plate. The two smaller square shakers feature the coordinating waffle/grid glass pattern and perforated aluminum shaker tops. One retains itsPEPPERlabel.
The underside displays the early Owens-Illinoisdiamond/oval/I maker's mark, used beginning around 1929–30. The visible single-digit date code is consistent with1933 production, so this grouping dates to the Great Depression era.
