Two vintage 1940s and 50s guides to home Canning. One is from national pressure cooker, modern guide to home canning instructions and recipes. That book is full of directions, step-by-step instructions, safety tips, recipes, how to, questions and answers and more circa late 1940s. The other book is the home canning of fruits and vegetables home and garden bulletin number eight US Department of agriculture revised in 1957. It explains how to prepare, pack and can various types of food items. It also has a question and answer section. Both books provide a wealth of information in the area of home canning and would be awesome resources for those interested and learning about home canning.
The books are both in overall good vintage condition with the binding intact. However, due to age and use they do have wear, creases, marks and stains. The national pressure cooker one has some writing on the cover and some of the pages have been marked as well. The USDA booklet also has some staining inside the book and a few marks where someone has written in it.
