Fantastic circa 1940s Golden Wedding Whiskey illuminated dome back bar / cash register sign, manufactured by Price Bros.
The reverse-painted glass advertises Golden Wedding Whiskey – “Has Had No Peers For Fifty Years” and is marked Jos. S. Finch & Co., Schenley, Pennsylvania along the bottom. Golden Wedding was one of the historic Pennsylvania whiskey brands associated with the Joseph S. Finch distilling operation.
This is an especially attractive Price Bros. dome-style illuminated advertising sign, featuring a curved reverse-painted glass face with gold Golden Wedding lettering and bright red advertising text. When illuminated, the lettering and outer dome lighting give it an outstanding period back-bar appearance.
Measures approximately 13" wide x 9" tall.
The reverse-painted glass is in very nice condition overall, particularly for its age, with some scattered paint loss and age-related wear visible upon close inspection. The metal housing is also in very nice condition for its age, retaining an excellent original appearance with normal age-related wear.
A beautiful piece of 1940s Pennsylvania whiskey advertising and a particularly impressive example of a Price Bros. illuminated back-bar sign.
