Original vintage Associated Press wirephoto featuring Princess Anne on her sixth birthday, August 15, 1956. The portrait was made by noted British royal photographer Marcus Adams.
The original typed AP caption remains attached along the bottom and identifies the photograph as:
“BIRTHDAY GIRL—Her Royal Highness, Britain’s Princess Anne … camera portrait made by Marcus Adams for her sixth birthday today.”
The caption also describes her white broderie anglaise dress and pearl necklace on a platinum chain and carries the AP Wirephoto credit and 1956 date.
This is an attractive period press photograph with strong royal-family and photographic-history interest. The print shows normal age-related toning and some curvature/curling, edge wear, and other signs of handling consistent with an original press photograph. Please examine all photos closely for condition.
