Here is a vintage Native American hand silk-screened decorative wall tile. It is stamped on the back that it came from the Mesquakie (or Mesquanie) Indian Settlement (located in Iowa) circa the 1950\'s-1970\'s. It features a pair of blue deer drinking from a stream with a tree with red leaves in the background. The deer are stylized animal illustrations heavily inspired by the famous woodland murals of Taos Pueblo artist Pop Chalee. Perfect for wall display or as a meaningful collectible piece of Native American craftsmanship. It measures 6 inches square and has protective cork back and ribbon hanger.
Good vintage condition. The colors are bright, unfaded. There are some faint scratches in the glossy glaze. There is wear in the glaze on the bottom corners and edge as pointed out in the last 3 photos.
