While the front factory card correctly states "Two King Pillowcases" the vintage department store inventory sticker on the back erroneously reads "1 King P/C" The package is completely original and factory sealed AND contains the full heavy double thickness of the original 2 pair. This is indeed an authentic slice of deadstock.
Bit of History...
The Fieldcrest name is legendary in American textile history originating from the famous Fieldcrest Mills founded by Marshall Field & Co. in Leakesville, North Carolina. The Velvet Touch line blend features the Fortrel Polyester that was the gold standard of the late 70s and early 80s. It also offered the revolutionary "no iron, permanent press" fabric that stayed perfectly smooth straight out of the dryer! (Yes pillowcases were ironed at one time)
