The lot includes three different cubs from the Polar PlaymatesSculpture Collection:
• “Slip ’n & a Slide ’n” — Premiere Issue
The collection\'s introductory sculpture features a playful polar bear cubsliding across the ice on its back, paws in the air.
• “Goin’ Fishin’”
An inquisitive cub stretches over the edge of an icy ledge, apparently checkingout whatever may be swimming below.
• “Look Who’s Nappin’”
A sleepy little cub rests peacefully across its ice floe.
Each sculpture combines a wonderfully textured, hand-painted whitepolar bear with a translucent icy base accented in Arctic blue. The clear andtinted portions of the bases catch and transmit surrounding light particularlywell, giving the simulated ice an attractive frosted/glacial appearance whendisplayed near natural light or against a lighted background.
All three retain their original blue identification labels onthe bottoms, clearly identifying the individual sculpture, the PolarPlaymates collection, artist Michael Adams, 1996 Hamilton Collection copyrightand country of manufacture.
Condition: Very nice pre-owned vintage condition.All three present extremely well with strong sculpted detail and attractivecoloring. Bottom identification labels remain intact and legible.
