This 10” tall Vintage Japanese Cloisonné Vase features traditional Japanese elements with a unique design of a hummingbird and floral motif in black enamel on brass.
Origin & Technique: Japanese cloisonné (shippō-yaki). Fine wire cells (cloisons) are applied to a metal base, filled with multi-colored enamel pastes, fired, polished smooth, and finished with gilded rims and footings.
