I\'m always on the hunt for great, vintage lighting and have quite a few great pieces in my shop. I\'m drawn to MCM and this one had a bit of an Asian flair with the base and I just fell in love! It has hand-painted pink and light green (gray?) flowers and the base of the body has an Asian floral swirl in possible 24 carat gold details!
There is crazing on the ceramic that is natural for the age, but I see no cracks. As mentioned in the condition report, the base needs a tightening or a new nut to keep the base secure with the lamp body. I\'ve tightened it and reattached the rubber stopper and it feels secure now, just be aware when you get it rewired to include all parts currently in the base.
As with all my vintage lamps and lighting, I highly recommend they get professionally rewired. This one has a three way switch and the first stage doesn\'t work. Second and third work but I didn\'t notice a change in color or intensity of the light.
