1993Vaillancourt Folk Art Chalkware Santa in Dark Red Robe w/ Bag of Oranges.

This is alovely Santa, in a Dark Red Father Christmas Robe and Bright Red pointed Hood.He has a Tan Bag in his hand, that has a picture of a snowman with a hatchet inhis ‘Hand’ about to cut down a Christmas tree. An amazing little vignette. TheBag is full of oranges. The oranges are of course to put in stockings. I doremember getting a orange in the toe of my Christmas stocking.

ThisVaillancourt Folk Art Chalkware Santa was made in 1990 but registered in 1985. So,it must have been a popular model, and they made it multiple years, It is mould#1080 and catalog #101

It is approx.9 inches high and just over 4 inches wide at the shoulders. The base is 2 ¾ inchesX 1 ¾ inches .

I am theoriginal owner, and it has always been displayed in a glass front bookcase inmy smoke Free home for Christmas then wrapped in tissue paper and stored safely.

Care of VaillancourtChalkware. Dust with a soft brush – cosmetic brushes work well. To store wrapin tissue paper, then wrap loosely in bubble wrap. Place in a study box andstore in a dry, climate-controlled area. Do not use water to clean.
