Vintage 1920’s-30’s, Life Size, Nodding French Bulldog Papier-mâché Toy-Statue. For Sale

This preowned piece is an antique-vintage, very unique nodding Frenchie, statue-toy, dating from the early 1900’s . Likely made of papier-mâché. May have been used as a store window advertising piece. This true-to-life piece is real Frenchie size & captures the charm and character of the French Bulldog breed. It is a nodder only with a fixed jaw. The head nods briefly with working mechanism. Flocking on the piece is light and all over the white coat , with very little wear. The dog’s collar trim is likely coir, natural coconut husk. It is not intended for children due to its age and fragility. The charm, craftsmanship, rarity and overall appearance of this toy-statue, make it a special addition to any collection!
