Vintage Sears Roebuck Silvertone Model 4500 Streamliner tube radio dating to the late 1930s. Beautiful Art Deco design featuring a black Bakelite-style cabinet, wraparound vertical grille, gold-tone grille cloth and large circular Silvertone tuning dial.
Radio has been partially tested. It powers on and produces static while turning the tuning dial, but I was unable to receive a radio station during testing. Because of its age and limited testing, it is being sold as-is for restoration, repair or display and is not being represented as fully functional.
Cabinet shows age-related surface wear, scratches, scuffs and discoloration. The grille cloth/material on the back is loose and deteriorated/sagging as shown in the photos. Please examine all photographs carefully for overall cosmetic condition.
A very attractive original 1930s Silvertone radio with classic Machine Age / Art Deco styling and a great display piece for an antique radio collection.
