Vintage 1940s Dual Automatic Parking Meter Original Mint Green Patina Historical
This is a beautiful and highly collectible 1940s/1950s Dual Automatic Parking Meter in its authentic, unrestored condition.
This iconic "hourglass" shaped meter features the classic raised DUAL geometric shield logo on the cast iron neck block—confirming it is a desirable pre-Rockwell acquisition piece.
The meter retains a fantastic amount of its original factory mint/seafoam green paint and shows the perfect amount of natural vintage character and weathering (patina) that collectors pay a premium for.
The interior 2-hour instruction plate is entirely intact, bright, and fully readable ("1 to 10 Pennies or 2 Nickels").

The internal clockwork mechanism does not currently tick when a coin is introduced and will likely require a simple standard cleaning/oiling if you wish to restore the clockwork functionality.
Exceptionally Clean Interior.
As shown in the photos, the internal coin chute mechanism is phenomenally clean, bright, and entirely free of the heavy rust or pitting usually found on these municipal outdoor units.
100% Intact: The interior mechanism has not been gutted or stripped for parts. Factory metal stamping "D-4813" is clearly visible inside the access flap.
Chute Functional: A coin was tested in the slot and passed smoothly down through the internal tracking assembly into the lower vault box without jamming.
This is the ultimate addition to any garage, man cave, bar decor, or industrial antique collection. It is heavy, solid cast iron, and will be packed with extreme care to ensure safe transit.
