Vintage 1945 Baltimore MD Pennant Washington Monument Excellent NOS Felt 26" For Sale

Up for sale is a beautiful, highly preserved vintage 1940s souvenir travel pennant commemorating Baltimore, Maryland, featuring a detailed graphic of the historic Washington Monument.This piece was acquired alongside a collection of other local travel pennants verified to be from 1945. It is a fantastic piece of mid-century Americana that has been carefully stored flat in a dark container for decades and has never been displayed.Condition Details:

• Felt Backing: Excellent condition. Made of a deep purple wool-blend felt with dark blue tassels. Edge is perfectly straight and measures 7 3/4" long. White end strip features its original, tight straight stitching.
• Flaws: Absolutely NO moth holes, NO fading, and NO pinholes from wall display. As is common with 1940s lacquered screenprints, there is minor cosmetic cracking/rubbing to the thick paint layer due to natural aging over the last 80 years. There is also minor, typical red dye bleeding on the edge of the white strip from the original manufacturing process. Original full-length ties are present but show minor structural wear from storage.
• Measurements: Full length is 26 inches with a flat-cut tip. Edge is 7 3.4" long. Top ties 1/4" wide, 4" long. Bottom ties 2 1/2 & 4 1/2" long, 1/2" wide.
• Stitching: two straight stitches / white / off-white
• Screen print base (cream) and colors: yellow, blue-green, green, red
• Felt colors: Purple, White, Blue
