Up for sale is an exquisite mid-century Shafford ceramic Praying Madonna planter bust (Model 4352). This striking religious art piece features the Virgin Mary with closed eyes and hands clasped gently in prayer, wearing an elegant gold-gilded crown and a soft blue veil.
The bust is elevated on a rare, beautiful cobalt blue base highlighted by intricate gold scroll accent work. The reverse side features an open well perfect for holding small indoor plants, air plants, or dried floral arrangements. The bottom retains part of its original vintage red/gold Shafford Japan foil label and features the handwritten model corepairs. Item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
