Original vintage Simplicity 1918 sewing pattern from 1956, featuring a wonderfully classic 1950s mix-and-match blouse, full skirt and cummerbund ensemble.
Size 18 – Bust 38", Waist 30", Hip 40"
This pattern captures the quintessential 1950s New Look silhouette with a fitted, tucked blouse paired with an exceptionally full skirt.
The blouse features vertical tucks on either side of the center-front button closure and a small rounded collar. Three variations are included:
View 1: Long sleeves with elegant French cuffs
View 2: Short sleeves
View 3: Sleeveless blouse with decorative lace edging along the front tucks
The full skirt features dramatic unpressed box pleats, creating the beautifully full, nipped-waist silhouette associated with mid-century fashion. View 3 also includes a contrasting cummerbund for an especially polished 1950s look.
