Rare & Unusual Vintage 1960s–70s “He Loves Me – He Loves Me Not” Flower Power Sleeping Bag
Groovy vintage flower power sleeping bag featuring an all-over field of colorful daisies and the playful “He Loves Me – He Loves Me Not” theme. A fantastic example of the bold 1960s/1970s Mod, Pop Art, and Flower Power aesthetic.
I have never seen another one like it, making this a particularly unusual piece for vintage textile, fabric, retro, or mid-century collectors.
The sleeping bag is quilted and has a substantial vintage metal SERVAL USA zipper that works properly and closes well. There is no visible manufacturer tag, and the construction makes me wonder if this may have been handmade.
Approximate Measurements
- Closed: 33\" x 63\"
- Open: approximately 55 1/2\" wide x 63 1/2\" long
- Daisy designs: approximately 1\" wide
- Lettering: approximately 1/2\" tall
The fabric appears to be cotton, although I cannot guarantee the fiber content.
This could be enjoyed as a sleeping bag, indoor bedding, quilt, throw, or unique vintage textile. It could also be repurposed into fabulous throw pillows, clothing, an accent quilt, or other sewing projects.
Condition
This is a pre-owned vintage item that has been washed and stored for many years. There are some stains on the inside yellow fabric that I have not attempted to remove. Please examine all photos carefully for condition and construction details.
The vintage zipper is functional.
