Fantastic vintage Italian figural wine decanter featuring a spectacular long-tailed pheasant in brilliant Mid-Century colors.This large ceramic decanter was produced for Casa Vinicola Boccaccio / Barsottini Vino Rosso and imported into the United States by Banfi Products Corp., New York. Based on known examples from this series, it dates to approximately the late 1960s.The pheasant is beautifully modeled with an exceptionally long sweeping tail and richly glazed in turquoise, cobalt blue, red, orange, yellow and green.
