This rare set features the original presentation box and a hand-carved natural horn comb. The wooden lid features beautiful French cursive script reading "Peigne à Barbe" (Beard Comb).

• The Comb: The natural horn retains a gorgeous high-gloss finish and beautiful clarity. Please note that there are three small broken teeth at the tapered tip, along with minor chipping on the pointed edge (closely documented in the photos). The remaining teeth are fully intact, strong, and stable.

• The Box & Lining: The original wooden case is structurally sound. The brass latch works perfectly. The green felt interior lining shows minor vintage wear and dust consistent with a 60-year-old organic item, but remains intact.

Collector's Note:

Complete boxed grooming sets by Carl Auböck are incredibly difficult to source. While this piece shows minor damage to the tip of the comb, it remains an excellent, authentic display piece for any serious collector of Austrian modernist design or 20th-century luxury accessories.
