Vintage Fashioned by Farrington Ballerina Musical Fashion/Jewelry Box – Made in Japan
Charming vintage Farrington musical box featuring a colorful patchwork/quilt-print exterior and an illustrated courting couple on the lid. The interior is lined in bright turquoise and features a ballerina positioned in front of a triangular mirror.
The original underside labels read “Fashioned by Farrington,” “Made in Japan,” and identify the music as “Laura’s Theme.”
The music mechanism is working and the ballerina rotates while the music plays.
An especially nice feature of this example is the collection of miniature fashion accessories included with it. The lot includes the accessories shown in the photos, including two gold-tone dress-form/mannequin stands, clear display stand, miniature clothing pieces, several pairs/single shoes, handbags/purses, handheld mirror and colorful plastic fashion accessories. Some textile pieces show age-related wear, loose threads or fraying.
