This commanding, heavy estate-sourced sculpture features the company's famous 19th-century allegorical emblem: the Goddess of Protection holding her shield aloft to shield a vulnerable widow and orphan. The original design was created by legendary American sculptor John Quincy Adams Ward for the historical Equitable headquarters facade in New York City.
