Offered here is a vintage 1966 Zippo lighter featuring the USS Queenfish (SSN-651), a U.S. Navy Sturgeon-class nuclear-powered attack submarine.The lighter features a colorful USS Queenfish SSN-651 / “La Reine de la Mer” crest on the front and the U.S. Navy Submarine Dolphins insignia on the reverse.The bottom is marked Bradford, PA. ZIPPO with the //// ZIPPO //// date code, dating the lighter to 1966.This example is especially nice because it retains its original period Zippo packaging and paperwork, including the outer box, black display insert, guarantee card, and flint/fuel instruction insert, as pictured.The lighter and packaging show normal age and storage wear. The lighter itself presents very nicely, with attractive brushed finish and strong graphics.
