This highly collectible piece is Number 1—the premier, first-edition release that launched Fenton's famous annual "Christmas in America" commemorative series.The front features a beautiful, deeply embossed relief design depicting the historic Little Brown Church in the Vale (located near Nashua, Iowa), framed by a classic raised border of festive holly leaves and berries. Molded from deep amethyst purple glass, it is finished with a remarkably vibrant, multi-color iridescent carnival coating that flashes spectacular, fiery rainbow tones under light.The back features the official Fenton trademark stamp and the factory-engraved historical text: "The church that inspired the world-famous song, 'The Little Brown Church in the Vale,' written by Dr. W.S. Pitts in 1857. Built 1860-1864. Nashua, Iowa."
- Condition:Perfect with absolutely no chips, cracks, repairs, or scratches. The colorful iridescent finish is exceptionally strong, bright, and beautifully intact.
