For your consideration is a highly collectible vintage 1976 modernist brutalist sculpture by Austin Productions, depicting a stylized West African Chi Wara (Ci Wara) antelope headdress form. Finished in a striking matte black lacquer over heavy Durastone compound, this iconic piece perfectly embodies the geometric, primitive tribal art aesthetic highly sought after by mid-century modern designers.Condition: Structurally in excellent condition. There are NO cracks or repairs. The visible band wrapping tightly around the neck is a deliberate geometric feature from the artist's original carving mold, not a hairline fracture.
