Charming vintage 1978 Avon sleeping pig pomander/potpourri holder, made by Ceramarte in Brazil.This ceramic pig features a glossy ivory/white finish with hand-decorated pink and purple flowers, green leaves, a pink bow and sweet closed-eye face. Numerous openings along the pig’s back allow fragrance to disperse when used as a pomander or sachet holder.The underside is marked:“An exclusive hand-decorated Avon design © 1978”and retains the original Ceramarte – Made in Brazil foil label.Approximate size: 5” long x about 2” high.
