Vintage Avon Odyssey Pierrot Clown Figural Perfume Bottle – 50ml – c.1980s
An attractive original vintage Avon figural perfume bottle in the form of a seated Pierrot clown, produced for Avon\'sOdyssey Eau de Toilette.
Dating from the early 1980s, the bottle has a white milk/opaline glass body moulded as the seated Pierrot figure, with black button details. The removable head and wonderfully exaggerated ruff form the decorative top, with the perfume bottle closure beneath.
The original label remains on the underside and readsAvon Cosmetics / Avon Odyssey / Eau de Toilette / 50ml.
Approximately10.5 cm talloverall.
This is a genuine vintage used example and consequently shows considerable age-related cosmetic wear. Much of the original painted facial detail has rubbed away, particularly around the eyes and red lips, while the glossy black hair has scratches, rubbing and small areas of paint loss. There are also general marks and signs of handling/use to the white surfaces.
The photographs have been taken from all sides and form an important part of the condition description.
A charming piece of1980s Avon advertising and perfume-bottle collectables, and a particularly distinctive example of the period\'s enthusiasm for Pierrot imagery.
