The sign is marked© 1991 Hershey Foods Corporation, dating it to the early 1990s. Ande Rooney was well known for producing high-quality reproductions of classic American advertising signs using traditionalporcelain enamel over steel construction.
Unlike lightweight printed tin signs, this is asubstantial, heavy steel sign with vitreous porcelain enamel fused to the surface. The reverse is also coated, giving the sign the characteristic solid weight, thickness and durable finish associated with Ande Rooney porcelain signs.
It measures approximately12.5\" wide x 5.25\" highand featuresfour brass-tone grommets, one at each corner, for hanging. The glossy chocolate-brown and cream graphics beautifully recreate the look of an early Hershey’s chocolate bar wrapper.
