Collectible Vintage Ron Lee "Hobo Joe in the Caribbean" Sculpture (1995) is a beautiful, highly collectible mid-career sculpture by renowned American artist Ron Lee. This Ron Lee piece features the famous "Hobo Joe" character dressed in a whimsical Caribbean pirate theme complete with a classic eye patch, a bright red head bandana, and a custom sculpted anchor detailing on the base. This piece is part of his World Characters Collection. The piece has an authentic signature: Hand-signed and dated "Ron '95”directly on the top surface of the stone base. The piece is numbered 673/750 and includes the original, hard-to-find blue hanging paper tag ("Ron Lee's World of Clowns"). Crafted with heavy, hand-painted metal, accented with Ron Lee's signature 24k gold plating, and securely mounted onto a thick, beautiful natural onyx stone base. Excellent vintage condition. The enamel paint is bright and intact, the gold plating shows brilliant luster, and the onyx base has no chips or deep cracks. However there is a black mark on the anchor.
