For your consideration is a highly detailed, hand-painted vintage chalkware character wall plaque titled "The Trainer" (Dog Trainer), identified as Model #46041 from the scarce Masquerade series by Lakeland Studios (Cumbria, England).
Following the closure of the world-famous W.H. Bossons factory in 1996, several of their premier master sculptors brought their dimensional folk-art talents over to Lakeland Studios to craft the heavy, ultra-realistic "Masquerade" line. This piece was expertly sculpted by P.A. McHugh and features beautiful mid-century style relief craftsmanship, depicting a sharp-eyed traditional British dog trainer wearing a flat cap driving hat, a detailed knit collar, and a dark outdoor coat.
