This is a vintage 4-inch nail buffer, likely from the 1930s-1950s, featuring an iridescent celluloid top and a natural bone bottom. Used to polish fingernails to a high shine, it's both a functional grooming tool and a beautiful vanity display piece.The top has a pearlescent glow with tones of pink, green, and silver, imitating mother-of-pear. The underside is smooth, aged bone showing wear consistent with use and age. No cracks or breaks, but there is deterioration in the pad on the bottom.
