This charming piece is a mid-century 1940s to 1950s unmarked Shawnee Pottery anthropomorphic black and white tuxedo cat planter mold #19. Produced by the Shawnee Pottery Company in Zanesville, Ohio, this kitschy collectible is easily recognized by its distinctive wide, stylized eyes, painted whiskers, and large light-blue bow tied around its neck. The hollow design in the back allows it to be used as a small windowsill planter or a decorative holder. Approximately 4” tall.
