Vintage APEX Patent Pending Vernier Tuning Dials - Lot of 3
Offered for sale is a lot of three original APEX vernier tuning dials for early radio equipment. Based on the APEX branding, construction, and "PATENT PENDING" marking on the reverse, these appear to date to approximately 1925-1926.
Included are two complete APEX vernier tuning dials in good working condition, plus one additional incomplete dial missing its tuning knob. The incomplete dial is included for parts or restoration.
Each dial measures approximately 4 inches across and features the original black face with brass center hardware. The reverse side shows the brass vernier gear mechanism and Patent Pending marking.
Condition:Two dials rotate smoothly and appear mechanically functional. The third dial is incomplete due to the missing tuning knob. All three show normal antique wear including scratches, finish loss, oxidation, plating wear, and age-related patina. These have not been cleaned or restored.
A nice original lot for restoring early 1920s radio equipment, antique radio projects, homebrew radio builds, or display.
