This is a beautiful piece of retro airline history from the Golden Age of Aviation. This original promotional double-deck playing card set was distributed exclusively to first-class and business-class travelers on Air India long-haul flights during the late 1970s or early 1980s.
• The Decks: FACTORY SEALED. Both individual decks (Red and Green) are completely untouched, brand new, and remain safely factory-sealed inside their original clear cellophane wraps. Zero handling wear, fading, or finger oil residue.
***The Plastic Case: The original smoky black dual-compartment plastic tray display holder is included. Please note that the outer plastic case cover shows wear from storage, including a few visible cracks and surface scuffs as pictured. The inner cards remain perfectly protected.
The card backs feature the legendary Air India "Maharajah" mascot framed inside an elegant, traditional ornate floral border pattern. One deck features a vibrant retro red border, and the companion deck features a contrasting vivid green border.
