Vintage Aluminum Self-Centering Drilling Jig 7/16\" - Unusual Tool
Up for sale is an aluminum drill jig that looks to be self-centering. The knobs lock the plate in place, and the plate rides on springs and will clamp from 1-3/16\" to 1-3/4\" thick. Both drill guides are marked 7/16\". See the last few pictures for more measurements of the tool.
I got this with a lot of woodworking tools. It is a drill jig of some sort, but I am unsure exactly what it was used for, Maybe used on doors. The spring-loaded section that is not part of the main clamp moves out and stays in place because of spring tension. Tool weighs 4lbs 8.9oz on my scale.
All the moving parts move as they should. Comes as seen in pics, any questions just ask. Any information about this tool would be much appreciated.
