Vintage ceramic bald eagle coin bank, a promotional premium from the Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank of New York, circa 1955–1967. It shows a spread-winged eagle on a plinth with three molded stars, in a glossy brown, caramel, and cream glaze. The bank\'s name is molded on the reverse. It keeps its original cork base and \"TURN\" twist-lock metal stopper. A handsome patriotic piece of American banking memorabilia for a coin bank, advertising, or New York history collection.
The bank used the name \"Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank\" until 1967, when it shortened it to Emigrant Savings Bank. The glossy drip-style glaze, the cork base, and the twist-lock metal stopper also fit 1950s–1960s premium banks. Best estimate: c. 1955–1967. It is a vintage advertising collectible, not an antique.
