This is a vintage American LaFrance ALFCO fire hose nozzle featuring brass construction, a plated finish, and a bale-style shutoff handle. The body is marked ALFCO, and the entire assembly measures approximately 12 inches long in its current configuration.
It shows substantial age and use, including patina, oxidation, scratches, finish loss, and remnants of old paint. A threaded hex adapter with hose shank is still attached at the base. That fitting appears to be an added piece rather than part of the nozzle’s original configuration, so I would note that it was intentionally left in place to avoid risking damage during removal.
The bale handle moves between the open and closed positions. The nozzle has not been pressure tested and should be sold as a collectible. It would fit well in an American LaFrance collection, antique fire apparatus display, firefighting memorabilia collection, or industrial décor setting.
For condition, I’d describe it as pre-owned vintage with considerable cosmetic wear from age and use, and direct buyers to the photos for the exact condition, markings, fittings, and construction.
