Vintage framed sand painting signed B. Begay on the reverse.
The artwork depicts a stylised Yei ceremonial figure, executed in coloured sand on a natural sand-coloured ground, with strong turquoise blue, white, black, red and ochre detailing.
B. Begay signed sand paintings featuring Yei figures are known in the Southwestern / Navajo art market, although I do not have provenance identifying the artist beyond the handwritten B Begay signature on the reverse.
Presented in a simple timber frame with recessed hanging slot.
Approximate overall size: 25 × 15 cm.
