Vintage Belleek Ireland "Cottage Candle-Holder" - Model 1843Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic Belleek Fine Parian China three-sided votive/tealight candle holder. This piece is intricately molded to look like a traditional Irish countryside scene, showcasing a full thatched roof, rustic stone/brick house siding, and windows. It features Belleek's classic basketweave texture, hand-painted green shamrocks along the scalloped base, and a delicate gold-gilded upper rim. The bottom features the original paper factory sticker for the pure cottage aesthetic alongside the Belleek 8th Period Blue Mark, dating its production between 1993 and 1996.
CONDITION NOTE (PLEASE READ):This item is being sold AS IS due to a visible hairline fracture (crack) on one side that runs down 1/8” at the top of the molded thatched roof detail (see close-up photos). The line is visible on the exterior but does not fully penetrate through to the inner glazed surface, and the piece remains structurally sound in one piece.The hand-painted green shamrocks and gold gilding along the rim are in excellent condition with no major rubbing or wear. No other chips or repairs.
USE: Because of the hairline crack, we highly recommend using a battery-operated LED tea light rather than a real candle to prevent any heat expansion. This makes a wonderful shelf filler or functional accent piece for an Irish porcelain collector who doesn't mind a cosmetic flaw.Please review all photos carefully.
