Offered is a coordinated lot of two vintage Breyer Traditional-scale Arabian model horses: a Proud Arabian Mare and Proud Arabian Foal, both in beautiful red-chestnut coloring.This mare-and-foal pairing includes:• Proud Arabian Mare #840 – red chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, four white stockings, grey hooves and a solid face
• Proud Arabian Foal, also known to collectors as the PAF – dark red chestnut or baby bay coloring with a brown mane and tail, consistent color in legs.The Proud Arabian Mare was released by Breyer approximately 1991–1992. The Proud Arabian Foal is the 1992 special-run version produced for the JCPenney Frisky Foals Set. The foal is a less commonly encountered release, with approximately 3,000 Frisky Foals sets originally produced.Please note that these two models were issued separately and were not originally sold together as a mare-and-foal set.
