Up for sale is an authentic, beautifully preserved British Army Grenadier Guards Bandsman Full Dress Tunic. This striking ceremonial jacket is made from heavy scarlet red wool with a dark navy blue collar and cuffs, accented by white/cream structural piping.As a 1953 Pattern garment specifically tailored for "Bandsmen with Wings," it features the distinctive rear tail skirt dress slashes and evenly spaced, crown-stamped silver buttons representing the Grenadier Guards. The collar features exquisite hand-embroidered white grenade badges unique to the regiment.The interior remains complete with its original quilted shoulder/chest padding and retains its historical paper issue tag. The tag notes the original owner as L/Sgt. Bonewell and lists original specifications of Height 5'11" and Chest 41". Like many active service tunics, it was later reissued, bearing the clear handwritten soldier names I. Hancock and J. Doyle.Measurements (Based on Tag):
