Offered here is an original vintage California Racing Association (CRA) sanctioned Sprint Car Races event poster, measuring 22\" x 14\", printed in bold red and black ink on cream card stock. The poster advertises an 8-event sprint car racing card for a Saturday night meet on \"Nov. 7,\" with time trials at 7 PM and the first race at 8 PM, held at Ascot Stadium, located at 182nd & Vermont in the Gardena, California area. The poster is illustrated with a dramatic black-and-white action photograph of two sprint cars battling wheel-to-wheel mid-race, car #69 prominently in the foreground with a \"___ Painting\" sponsor decal on its tail. The poster is printed by the noted Colby Poster Printing Co. of 1332 W. 12th Place, Los Angeles, a printing house well known among collectors for producing thousands of vintage California concert, boxing, and racing event posters through the mid-20th century.

The venue name \"Ascot Stadium\" places this poster during a fairly narrow window in the track\'s history: the facility at 182nd and Vermont in Gardena opened in 1957 as Los Angeles Speedway, was renamed New Ascot Stadium in October 1958, and was renamed again to the long-running \"Ascot Park\" in 1961. A poster simply billing the venue as \"Ascot Stadium\" is consistent with that 1958–1960 naming window, before the track adopted the Ascot Park name it would carry for the rest of its storied three-decade run hosting USAC, CRA, and AMA motorcycle racing. Saturday, November 7 fell within that period in 1959, which is the most likely year for this event.

Condition: the poster shows honest age-related wear, including a repaired tear/separation at the top edge (visible as a seam near \"CALIFORNIA RACING ASSN. SANCTIONED\"), scattered light creasing, and toning consistent with a vintage paper poster of this age. Lost &Damaged Claims

For lost parcels, you must wait for 21 days domestic (US) and 45 days for International shipments. For shipments to Italy, you must wait 60 days before filing. Damage claims can be filed immediately. All claims should be submitted within 90 days from the date of shipment. All International parcels will be insured with U-PIC, please do not file a \"not received \"claim with PayPal, just contact us to resolve your problem.
