Lovely vintage ceramic large Yorkshire Terrier / Yorkie dog figurine, beautifully modelled lying in a woven-effect basket.The little dog has wonderful character and detail, with a glossy cream, beige and grey/brown glaze, expressive dark eyes and a sweet topknot finished with a blue-grey bow. The basket has a textured woven design with a rich brown rim.The piece is unmarked to the base, so I have not attributed it to a particular maker.Condition:In lovely vintage condition overall. There are no cracks or repairs that I can see.
There is a small chip to the very tip of the tail, which I have photographed closely and clearly for accuracy. It is relatively unobtrusive when the piece is displayed but should be noted.There may also be minor signs of age and previous display consistent with a vintage ceramic item.
