This is a classic piece of American mid-century kitchen history: a vintage Sunbeam Radiant Control Toaster (Model T-20-A), manufactured in the early 1950s. This is the iconic "magic" toaster that features Sunbeam's legendary automated radiant heat technology-there are no manual levers to push down. You simply drop the bread in, and the toaster automatically lowers it, and smoothly lifts it back up when finished. The chrome body retains a bright, highly reflective overall shine and has no deep dents or structural damage. However, it displays uniform cleaning surface scratches/swirls across the chrome panels from past cleanings as shown in photos. It still presents beautifully as a vintage display piece but is priced accordingly due to the finish wear.
Equipped with its original vintage cloth-wrapped power cord from 1950-1952. Please note that the cloth wrap has some areas of fraying. While the toaster functions, the cord is sold as-is due to age, and the buyer may want to patch or rewire it for long-term safe electrical use.
